Pilates Classes

Joseph Pilates called his method "Contrology" or "The Art of Control". Every movement of each Pilates exercise requires control of your body, a conscious effort to engage and use your core, while connecting to the movement itself. This takes a basic 'ab crunch' to a whole new level and given that you maintain mindfulness and Concentration through a class, your workout accelerates to a level of body strength that you will not achieve through any other exercise.

What are you looking for? The 6 Principles of Pilates; Control, Breath, Concentration, Flow, Centering, Precision. By practicing these principles, you will benefit in your sessions, and in your daily activities. Pilates connects us to our bodies and makes us mindful, strong, and healthy.

Pilates Reformer & Reformer Workout Classes

Pilates is our Specialty. We have a group of trained professional instructors that can ramp up your Pilates practice and get you into your deep abdominals. If you are new to Pilates, the Reformer is the best place to start. In our Pilates Reformer classes you will learn to properly align your body and you will practice the 6 Principles. Our group Reformer classes are limited to 6 people. You must have prior Reformer experience to join the  Pilates Reformer classes. 

If you don't have any prior experience with Pilates, it is recommended to complete 3 Private Sessions with one of our instructors. This will allow you to move directly into our Level 1 classes. Reformer Workout Classes don't require prior Pilates Experience.

Pilates Group Fitness

Pilates Mat - Pilates Mat Class is the very foundation of the Pilates method. Learn the basics of breathing, engaging your powerhouse, control, centering, along with the flow and transition of one movement to the next. Pilates Mat is the perfect class for anyone wanting to engage core strengthening into their workout routine. You will learn to listen to your body and continue to challenge yourself throughout each class. We Fuse our class with props such as Magic Circles, straps, bricks and hand weights to provide extra challenge.

TRX Classes

Introduced to Newbury Park by The Studio in 2009, TRX was designed by a Navy SEAL. This set of nylon straps creates resistance from two sources always at your disposal: body weight and gravity. TRX Suspension Training gives you the ability to unlock new dimensions in your training. Resistance can be adjusted from 5 percent to 100 percent of body weight by changing the incline of your body. This is THE cutting edge training program that will take your performance to the next level! TRX is a perfect compliment to Pilates. Each uses resistance and emphasizes core work.

TRX Tone - 45 Minutes of TRX toning muscle work. This workout will challenge you to the CORE! For Beginners as well as veterans.

TRX Torch - 45 Minutes Torch begins with a warmup and then you dive into a 25 minute HITT workout, followed by a rewarding stretch out. Be prepared to ramp up your metabolism, you are going to sweat!

TRX was Named 2010's BEST TOTAL - BODY TOOL by Men's Health Magazine.

Other Group Fitness Classes

Studio Circuit - Taking Metabolic Conditioning to the next level using the equipment available in our studio, from Bosu Balls to medicine balls, TRX, Free Weights, Kettle Bells and your own body weight, adding aerobic and body strengthening, this fast paced circuit will move you through your workout quickly, get you stretched and on your way to the rest of your day.

Studio Knockout - Boxing and Kickboxing your preference? Try our Knockout class. 

Studio Fit Training - Anything goes in this body sculpting, heart pumping workout class. Using all the props and resources in our GF Training Room, you'll get a great workout in minimal time!


Yoga has been around for about 5,000 years, and is a comprehensive practice that integrates mental, physical, and spiritual elements. Health benefits from regular yoga practice includes but is not limited to: improved immune function; reduced risk for migraines; improved sexual performance; better sleep; and reduced food cravings. Research has shown yoga can improve heart health by lowering blood pressure and other risk factors, and can even benefit those with atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat).

Membership is not required for our Yoga program. Class pricing for Yoga is included with the Pilates Mat, TRX and Yoga series.
